On the morning of November 7, 2019, the third session of Mass Spectrometry Series Seminar on Advanced Analysis and Technical Exchanges was held successfully in B119, the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Jinnan Campus, Nankai University.

More than 40 people from the Environmental Science Institute of Nankai University, Tianjin Ecological Environment Monitoring Center, Tianjin University of technology and other units attended the technology seminar.

Research fellow Minghui Zheng, executive deputy director of the ecological environment research center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the State Key Laboratory of environmental chemistry and ecotoxicology, was invited to give a lecture and host the Q&A section. The participants focused on the application of GC-MS in non-target screening of environmental samples, high-throughput non-target screening of organic pollutants in the atmosphere, etc. In the Q&A section, participants had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the technical difficulties, the ideas of mass spectrometry analysis, data reliability and other issues of high-resolution mass spectrometry to carry out non-target screening, and achieved the purpose of this conference around cutting-edge analysis technology for mass spectrometry to help environmental research. Two senior application engineers, Wenjun Sun and Yunhe Hong summarized the application and research strategies of new ion source technology, new sample injection front-end and triple quadrupole mass spectrometry in isomer analysis, environmental science and other environmental fields.
