With the aggravation of soil pollution hazards, especially in the context of the promulgation of the ten soil regulations issued by the State Council in May 2016, in order to give full play to the academic advantages of Nankai University in the field of soil environment, better promote international exchanges and cooperation between China and Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, Brazil, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, etc.. Tianjin International Joint Research Center for soil environment was officially established in July 2017 with the approval of Tianjin Science and Technology Commission.

Nankai University and Griffith University signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement (May 2014)


Nankai University and Griffith University signed a cooperation agreement on the 3 + 1 + 1 project      jointly run by the two universities (April 2017)


Positioning and significance

To establish the first-class international research and development center of soil environmental science and polluted soil remediation technology and the base for the flow and training of senior talents, and to develop the international scientific and technological cooperation mode of project talent base, so that the international cooperative research center of soil environment can effectively utilize the global scientific and technological resources to develop the international scientific and technological cooperation of soil environment and polluted soil remediation.
