China-Japan International Joint Research Center for Electronic Waste Recycling

The China-Japan International Joint Research Center for Electronic Waste Recycling, approved by the Tianjin Science and Technology Commission in November 2017, was jointly established by Nankai University and Tianjin Ziya Circular Economy Industrial Park, and the University of Kitakyushu and Kitakyushu Eco-Industrial Park (The world's first Circular Economy Demonstration Zone). Professor Xu He from Nankai University served as the director of the center. The center aims to take the industrialization of electronic waste resources in Tianjin Ziya Park as a pilot project to promote the development of domestic electronic waste resources industry. At the same time, it has promoted multi-level exchanges and cooperation between China and Japan, and established a high-level scientific and technological cooperation and innovation mechanism. Through the introduction and cultivation of multi-level talents, it provides talent reserves for China's electronic waste resources. The main research fields include the recycling model under the new situation, the resource technology and industrialization policy applicable to industrialization.
